Overview

The Opportunity:

 

As IT Service Desk Specialist, you will report to the Vice President of End User Support to provide in-depth desktop support to the Company and its employees. You will be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving complex PC and network problems. You will act as a resource and first point of escalation to IT Service Desk Associates.

 

The Day-to-Day:

  • Provide tier 1 and tier 2 support to end-users (onsite and remote) in an efficient and effective manner
  • Perform installation, repair, and preventative maintenance of end-user software and hardware
  • Racking, installation and maintenance of data center hardware
  • Establish network connectivity as well as hardware and software configuration
  • Support, mobile phones, tablets and third-party software applications
  • Support A/V Equipment
  • Track, resolve, and escalate all incidents and requests in ServiceNow appropriately
  • Execute physical end-user inter- and intra- office relocation services
  • Responsible for software pushes and desktop imaging, as appropriate
  • Help develop and improve the Service Desk's efficiency and customer service rating
  • Order equipment and services for employee business usage

Your Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in IT and Infrastructure and Operations
  • A+ Certification preferred
  • Expertise in Problem Management, Incident Management, Configuration Management, and the overall Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework
  • Familiarity with Data Centres and IDFs
  • Demonstrated success in decision-making/troubleshooting
  • Excellent customer service skills required
  • Ability to answer telephone and respond accurately and courteously to inquiries, and work through requests of end-users
  • Bachelor's degree, technical certifications or combination of education and hands-on experience required
