    The Role:

As a FIE Associate Institutional Director, you will be a key asset to the firm’s institutional sales efforts in Europe.  Your efforts will include calling and emailing decision makers on asset pools ranging from £80MM to £10B to introduce our firm and set meetings for our elite outside sales force (Sales Relationship Managers).   You will partner with two Sales RMs to strategically oversee and build their territories.  Some leads we’ll have a long standing history with and your focus will be on maintaining that relationship.  Others will be new to us and you’ll need to put on your detective hat using tools like LinkedIn to identify the important contacts and get our foot in the door.

Prospecting won’t be your only focus.  The role also entails ownership of various projects/initiatives, providing top-notch service to your RMs, reviewing industry publications for news about our prospective clients, and more.  With a handful of exciting expansion initiatives always happening within FIIG, your days will consistently include new and challenging tasks.

Thanks to your contributions, FIIG will have the opportunity to meet with decision makers at some of the world’s largest pensions, foundations, endowments and corporations and vie for the business of managing their assets!

What the role will provide you:

    • A very visible position with exposure to FIIG management & IPC members
    • Exposure to the world of institutional money management and a continual learning opportunity
    • A chance to further strengthen your sales and communication skills
    • Advanced finance and capital markets education through training and mentoring programs
    • A fertile ground to go above and beyond and suggest new ideas
    • Open team environment to provide support and organic learning from other intelligent and ambitious individuals
    • A great next step in your career progression!

    The Bottom Line:

The individuals who typically excel in this role constantly strive to learn more about the industry and better themselves. They learn how our firm is structurally and culturally different from its competition, and why that gives us an advantage. You will succeed if you have the skills and persistence to get a foot in the door to key decision-makers at prospective client organizations. A successful and engaged Associate Institutional Director enjoys phone sales & relationship building and relishes the opportunity to maximize his/her impact on a daily basis.  You will thrive if you have a tremendous desire to explore new opportunities and challenges—and along the way, seek to help us in our quest to better the investment universe.
